Title: Frequently Asked Questions about the USF Card
I am a distance learning student. Why should I get a USFCard?
The USFCard is necessary for you to get a NetID which you will need in order to access USF's Portal and Blackboard classes. . Distance learning students can also use their USFCard to check out materials from the USF Library; to gain entry to USF athletic events and campus recreation facilities; to gain student discounts to movie theaters and restaurants; and much more. To obtain your Distance Learning USFCard, please complete and return the Distance Learning USFCard Application.

Who can use my USFCard?
Only you can use your USFCard. Use of the USFCard by anyone other than the person to whom it was issued is strictly prohibited. The cardholder is subject to disciplinary actions or other penalties for improper use of the card.

How much is the USFCard?
The cost for both your original card and any replacement cards is $10.00 each.

Do I have to pay for a replacement card?
No - if the card will not hold re-encoding, the photo is fading, the card front and back have come apart, the name and number are fading, or if the lamination is peeling off.

Yes - if a hole was punched in the card to make a keychain, if it was chewed by a pet, if it has become warped from exposure to extreme heat, if it was folded in half and broken, if it has been subjected to extreme abuse, or if the cardholder's name and/or status changes.

Replacement or re-make cards are $15.00 each. NOTE: Customers may pay with a credit card or debit card at the USFCard Center. For the safety and security of everyone, customers who wish to pay by cash or check must do so at the Cashier's Office (Tampa Campus-ADM 131; Lakeland Campus-LTB 1135; Sarasota Campus-SMC B116; St.Petersburg Campus-BAY 132). The Cashier's Office will provide a receipt which may be taken to the USFCard Center as proof of payment.

What should I do if I lose my USFCard?
Lost cards should be reported to the USFCard Center immediately. Return found cards to the USFCard Center, located at CTR 105. The cardholder is responsible for paying for a lost card.

How do I make my USFCard an ATM Card?
If you already have a USFCard, you can activate your ATM feature at the Tampa Campus USF Federal Credit Union or at the Tampa Campus USFCard Center.

Does the USF Card Center offer other services?
The USFCard Center Tampa Campus can produce passport photographs at a cost of $8.00 for two two-by-two-inch photos. NOTE: Customers may pay with a credit card or debit card at the USFCard Center. For the safety and security of everyone, customers who wish to pay by cash or check must do so at the Cashier's Office (Tampa Campus-ADM 131; Lakeland Campus-LTB 1135; Sarasota Campus-SMC B116; St.Petersburg Campus-BAY 132).
